The burial of victims died from COVID-19 commenced at Oddamavadi in Batticaloa today by burying two COVID-19 victims, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said.
He said another five bodies of COVID-19 victims would be buried at the same location today.
Earlier this week, the health authorities announced that the bodies of those died from COVID-19 can be buried at Iranaithivu Island.
General Silva said another three locations have been identified for the burial of COVID-19 victims.
