The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has directed Litro Gas to refrain from unloading the LP gas shipment that arrived in Sri Lanka last Saturday, as the samples obtained from the same do not comply with the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI) standards.
Earlier last week, State Minister of Consumer Protection Lasantha Alagiyawanna said that if the required level of ethyl mercaptan does not comply with the standards, the gas would not be released into the market.
