The Consumer Affairs Authority has warned online retailers against selling essential goods over the stipulated Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
The CAA issuing a statement on its official facebook page said it had observed many online stores taking opportunity of the country's prevailing situation and selling goods above stipulated MRPs.
The Authority said that legal action will be taken against those who do not comply with CAA regulations.
A popular online store, 'Kapruka' was raided recently by the CAA, for selling essential items at exorbitant prices.
The CAA can be contacted through 1977 for any complaints or inquiries.
