At a meeting with Mihintale Raja Maha Vihara Chief Prelate Ven. Walawahengunawewe Dharmaratna Thero, State Minister of Money and Capital Markets and State Enterprise Reforms Ajith Nivard Cabraal received advice on his would be appointment as the Governor of the Central Bank.
Cabraal was reminded that the trust placed in him by the President and the people should not be misused. He was further urged to adhere to the promises made when appointed so that the people of Sri Lanka will not be let down further.
He also reminded Cabraal to think twice and speak so that nothing hurtful would be said, while being reminded once more that it is the vote of the people that has brought this government to power, and the people should not be betrayed.
