Sri Lanka Central Bank (CBSL) Governor Dr Indrajith Coomaraswamy has reportedly tendered his resignation this month and will vacate his post in December.

Coomaraswamy has tendered his resignation on 2 November, citing personal reasons. His term in office is officially to end in December this year. Coomaraswamy assumed duties in July 2016, as the fourteenth Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
