Colombo Cricket Club emerged champions of the SLC Major League Tier ‘A’ Inter Club Cricket Tournament, conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket on Sunday, 10 February.
CCC earned 88.320 with four wins in the Super-8 round while Saracens CC earned 75.200 points with one win to earn second place.
CCC beat NCC by five wickets at Colts on Sunday. Colts CC beat Army CC by 10 wickets while Chilaw Marians CC beat SSC by three wickets in the fixtures of 4th and last weekend of the Super-8 round.
Match between Saracens SC and Tamil Union ended in a draw.
Wanindu Hasaranga’s all-round performance steered to win CCC over NCC. He took 10 wickets in the match and scored over 40 runs in the both innings.
Tharanga Paranavithana of Tamil Union scored 175 runs against Saracnes CC. Sachithra Serasinghe (Tamil Union), Dilshan De Zoysa (Army CC), Asela Gunaratne (Army CC), Nimesh Vimukthi (Chilaw Marians) and Risith Upamal (Chilaw Marians) made centuries on day four.
