By Chenelle Fernando A destination promotion and tourism based event 'Celebrate Colombo' is set to take place from 3 - 10 August with Swim Week Colombo runway shows taking place from 8 - 10 August. The week-long creative festival is presented by Colombo Fashion Week in collaboration with So Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTB) and is set to present a positive outlook of the island towards international media and travellers, showcasing Colombo as a vibrant and creative city. The festival will be a manifestation of art, food, fashion and music which demonstrates peace and the return in normalcy after the Easter Sunday attacks. This year, Swim Week Colombo runway shows will be hosted by three hotel partners within the metropolis -- Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo Hilton and Galle Face Hotel. Both local and international designers are set to showcase over a period of four days. The emerging designers showcase and the works of five international designers promise to be highlights.
