Central Bank’s observations on forensic audit submitted to Parliament

The Central Bank’s observations on the forensic audit related to the issuance of Treasury Bonds and transactions of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) have been submitted to the Committee on Public Finance of the Parliament.

The observations were submitted following a request made by the Public Finance Committee on the 5th of February.

The Committee will meet on the 18th of February for a discussion regarding the observations.

The Governor and officials of the Central Bank have been requested by the Committee to attend the meeting.

The forensic audit reports were tabled in Parliament on the 21st of January by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.

Meanwhile, an adjournment debate on the forensic audit is scheduled to be held on the 18th and 19th of this month.
