The Chairman of the Chilaw Municipal Council has been arrested in connection with an attack that took place in the Sedawatta area in Chilaw.
Police Media Spokesman, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the attack took place at around 8.45 last night (11).
The two youths who were injured in the attack have been admitted to the Chilaw Hospital.
Another person was arrested along with the chairman in connection with the attack, a police spokesman said.
The arrested suspects are due to be produced before the Chilaw Magistrate's Court today (12).
