A close contact of the Rajanganaya patient has tested positive for covid.
Accordingly, the total number of covid cases detected in the country has risen to 2,728.
Nearly 12, 000 individuals have been placed in self- quarantine in Rajanganaya, Anuradhapura after an individual from Rajanganaya, who had served as an instructor at the Kandakdu Rehabilitation Centre, had tested positive following the COVID-19 outbreak at the centre.
Last week, a 12 year old from Rajanganaya had tested positive for Covid-19.
