The 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Matale Old Thomians’ Cricket Union (MOTCU) was held recently.
This MOTCU had been established with the main objective of promoting cricket among junior students of the school.
The Union has now grown in leaps and bounds under the patronage of the distinguished alumni of the prestigious seat of education in the area.
This year’s MOTCU AGM was held via online due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation in the island.

The newly appointed MOTCU office-bearers are as follows:
Patrons: Principal of St. Thomas’, Matale Dammika Hewawasam, the school’s Matale Old Boys’ Association President Lasantha Balasooriya, and Old Thomian and former Test cricketer Chanaka Welagedara
