The Head of the State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Major General Suresh Sallay has filed a complaint in the CID against SJB MP Nalin Bandara for allegedly making false statements on Sallay at a press conference, stated Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
Sallay had revealed that the MP had made these remarks at a press conference on Wednesday (17).
MP Bandara had said that Sallay had connections with Zahran Hashim and facilitated him to travel to India, Malaysia and Indonesia.
He had also said that Sallay was involved in the Easter Sunday attacks but had never been summoned to the PCoI on Easter attacks.
DIG Rohana said Sallay has accused Bandara of spreading rumours that have affected his personal life and career, as he is a Sri Lankan Malay.
