Colombia hosting Argentina

Colombia hosted Argentina at Estadio Metropolitano. Two early goals from Christian Romero and Leandro Paredes put Argentina in the driving seat. In the second half, Colombia pushed on and they earned a penalty which was scored by Luis Muriel in the 51st minute. They kept the pressure on and it finally prevailed late during injury time through an equaliser by Miguel Borja.

The match between Chile and Bolivia ended in a 1-1 draw while Uruguay’s match against Venezuela ended in a goalless draw. However, it was Peru who hit the headlines with their shock win over Ecuador by two goals to one.
