"It is expected to supply water to about 3500 tanks in the Anuradhapura District by transferring water to the Huralu Wewa under the North Central Main Canal. It will further provide water for cultivation to seven major tanks and 350 small tanks in both seasons in the Mahawa and Ehetuwewa Divisional Secretariats by the year 2024," he said.
