It has been reported that the Executive Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority Thushan Gunawardena may tender his resignation from his post.
Gunawardena had told media earlier that mounting political pressure is interfering in the execution of his duties independently.
It is expected that his letter of resignation will be handed over this week.
