The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has issued a detention orders on the 12 officers of the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) who were arrested today on charges of drug trafficking.
Accordingly, the court has allowed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to detain the suspects until 8th July for further questioning over drug trafficking.
The officers were arrested by the CID after being interrogated for several hours today.
Following the arrest, the suspects were produced before court.
