Covid-19 cases surpass 1000 in Sri Lanka

28 more persons have tested positive for the coronavirus as of 6.00 pm today (19) , the Health Ministry said. The cases have been identified as Navy personnel from the Oluvil Quarantine Centre, Director-General of Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe said. Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s total number of Covid-19 cases have risen to 1020. Meanwhile, 10 more patients had fully recovered and were discharged earlier today, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 569. The deadly disease has claimed 9 lives in Sri Lanka.
