The number of COVID-19 deaths reported in the country has increased to 45 with the death of a 68-year-old woman at Maligawatta in Colombo 10, the Government Information Department said.
It said high blood pressure caused by COVID-19 infection was identified as the cause of her death. The victim has passed away at her residence.
