An employee of the Department of Government Information tested positive for Covid-19, health officials confirmed yesterday (29).
Accordingly, the individual, an office assistant in the Department, had gone to the Peliyagoda Fish Market on 16 October.
Whilst people who went to the Peliyagoda Fish Market were told to undergo a PCR test, he had remained at the office premises without being informed, and spent the night in one section of the Department.
