Ajith Nivard Cabraal, State Minister of Money and Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms says that the reason for the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka is the Covid-19 pandemic environment and the wrong economic policies of the Yahapalanaya government.
He was speaking at a special media briefing today (05).
"How did our country's economy grow from 2015 to 2019. The growth rate slowed from 6.8 to 2.3. In 2020, we lost 66 days, during which time the growth rate dropped to -16.7, which is a huge problem," he said.
