An employee of Lankapura Divisional Secretariat office has tested positive for Covid-19.
According to Health Authorities, the case was detected following PCR tests conducted by the Secretariat.
The patient has been identified as a close contact of a Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre Covid patient.
Accordingly, the total number of covid patients in the country has risen to 2,811.
