President of the Public Health Inspector's Union Upul Rohana today stated that the Covid situation can worsen if the citizens of the country continue to flout the ongoing travel restrictions.
Rohana said that the present travel restrictions were imposed to curb the spread of the virus but if the public does not comply with those restrictions, the attempt to curb the virus will be futile.
Therefore, he requested that the public continue to wear face masks, respect social distancing, and only step out of the house for essential services.
