COVID vaccine must be provided to poor countries: WHO Chief

12 Jan 2021

The World Health Organization (WHO) has emphasized the need to provide COVID vaccine to all countries in the world. World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Tedros Adhanom says there is an urgent need for vaccination in every country. So far, 42 countries around the world have developed vaccines against the COVID-19 virus and 36 of them are high income countries. However, poor countries have to pay attention to the price of the vaccine. China, meanwhile, says it will provide its citizens with the COVID vaccine free of charge. Last December, China tested the first vaccine made in that country. Source: BBC
