COVID vaccines to be brought to SL tomorrow morning

The AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine manufactured in India for the control of Covid-19 is to be brought to Sri Lanka tomorrow (28). Retired Major General G. A. Chandrasiri, Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Services, said that the aircraft carrying the vaccine is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka at 11.00 am tomorrow. The vaccines will be brought to Sri Lanka by Indian Airlines Flight A I 281. The vaccine consignment weighs 1,323 kilograms and will be brought to Sri Lanka in a special cold storage aircraft. The vaccine is then planned to be stored in the cold storage at the airport.
