Condemning the alleged offence by Former State Minister of Prisons and Prisoners' Rehabilitation Lohan Ratwatte, Convenor of the Voice Against Corruption Wasantha Samarasinghe stated that creating chaos has now become a pastime for Ministers
Such views were expressed at a media briefing held yesterday (15).
He further went on to question if such behaviour is considered as a part of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s national security plan.
Samarasinghe also pointed out that such actions are detrimental to the country when considering that the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) sessions are ongoing.
“The UNHRC sessions are ongoing in Geneva with many allegations against the country. Instead of responding to their allegations, we are providing them with further evidence to substantiate their claims,” he said.
Additionally, Samarasinghe questioned the “double standards” of the law practiced in the country.
