Dambulla Mayor arrested for organizing bicycle race

Dambulla SLPP Mayor and another individual have been arrested for organizing a bicycle race yesterday(19), Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said today.

The bicycle race was organised despite the the government having announced that all public gatherings were banned.

Subsequent to the arrest, the Dambulla SLPP Mayor was produced before court.
