State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara had not joined any Cabinet meeting or meetings at the ministry during the last few weeks and therefore, the possibility of the virus spreading at the Ministry or his office was minimum, Media Secretary of the Minister Samantha Balasooriya said.
"However, several employees of his Hettipola office, which the State Minister visited in the New Year, will be tested for COVID-19 today," Balasooriya said.
Further, all his family members have been tested today, and the results will be received shortly. They are also currently in self-isolation.
