Former Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has been appointed as the new General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
The SLFP Central Committee unanimously decided to appoint Jayasekara as the General Secretary of the party at its meeting held today.
Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa who was appointed to the post in June last year had tendered his resignation.
