The death toll from the Kinniya Ferry Tragedy rises to 8 persons, following the death of a 41 year old woman who was receiving treatment in hospital.
Earlier, 7 children were confirmed dead, with 11 persons severely injured following the horrific tragedy that happened in Kinniya, Trincomalee on the 23rd of November.
Three persons had been arrested in connection with the capsizing of the passenger ferry, one of them being the ferry owner.
