The Speaker's Office today announced that the debate on the Forensic Audits has been postponed to the 3rd week February.
The debate will be held on 18th and 19th February 2020.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya last week decided to allocate two days on the first week of February for a debate on the forensic audit reports.
Jayasuriya decided to table the forensic audit reports on the Central Bank bond scam in parliament on the 21 of Jan following continuous requests by opposition parliamentarians for the Speaker to release the report to the legislators.
Following the announcement MPs of the opposition called for a two day debate on the forensic audits this week.
