Decision on reducing quarantine days for returnees today

A final decision will be taken today (15) on reducing the number of days Sri Lankans returning from abroad to stay in quarantine centers to seven days, stated Head of the National Operations Center for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) General Shavendra Silva. The Ministry of Health stated that the matter will be discussed at the COVID-19 Technical Committee meeting today. Army Commander Shavendra Silva had made this request to the Director General of Health Services. The Army Commander further stated that this request was made considering the various difficulties faced by Sri Lankans returning to the country from abroad when they undergo quarantine in hotels
