Decline in Covid cases since 24th June, 1,876 cases reported yesterday

There has been a steady decline in COVID cases since the 24th June, as Sri Lanka recorded a total of 1,876 COVID-19 cases on Sunday (27), according to the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO). 1,767 of these infections were from the Post-Avurudu Cluster while the other 100 cases were those who tested positive after returning from overseas. The Kalutara District recorded the highest number of 378 COVID infections in the past 24 hours. On the 24th June as at 10AM, there were 2196 new cases,with 1639 discharged and 65 dead. On the 25th June as at 10AM, there were 1941 new cases, with 1843 discharged and 45 dead. On the 26th June as at 10AM, 1876 new cases were reported, with 2172 discharged and 48 dead On the 27th June  as at 10AM, there were 1825 new cases, with 2158 discharged and 43 dead.
