The public has been advised to be on alert as there is the possibility of mosquito-borne Dengue disease and the Influenza virus re-emerging in the country.
The Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne speaking to The Morning stated that "currently these viral infections are on the decline,"
"However, due to the changing climate and the forecasted weather patterns along with monsoonal rain, there will be a re-emergence of these diseases."
