Many diplomats from the Middle East and Asia have met with Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
It is reported that the meeting took place at the Ministry of Finance.
The High Commissioners of Pakistan and Bangladesh and the Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait have called on Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
The Ministry of Finance stated that there was a lengthy discussion on how to further strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and those countries and how to work in mutual cooperation.
Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa appreciated the support extended to Sri Lanka by countries in the Middle East and South Asia and stated that Sri Lanka will continue to work to enhance regional cooperation and goodwill.
