A discussion is to be held today between the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the port workers who are engaged in a protest against the proposal to handover the East Container Terminal (ECT) to an Indian company.
The discussion will be held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Wijerama, said Prasanna Kalutarage, co-convener of the Trade Union Alliance for the Protection of the Colombo Port's ECT.
Kalutarage stated that they expect to hear a positive response on this issue at the discussion.
