The date for the displaying of draft lists to update the electoral register 2020 in the Western Province has been postponed to 5 January 2021, stated the Election Commission today (17).
This includes the draft list of proposed voters to be included in the 2020 register and the list of voters to be removed from the 2020 register.
It was previously decided that the lists would be displayed on 23 December.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and movement restrictions in the Colombo, Kalutara and Gampaha Districts, the date has been rescheduled to 5 January 2021, the Election Commission said in a statement.
