Do not create tension at vaccination centers: Health Services

25 Feb 2021

Deputy Director of Health Services Dr Hemantha Herath yesterday stated that the COVID vaccine will be administered to all according to the priority list, and not to create disturbances in vaccination centers. "We have received several complaints of quarrels in vaccination centers due to people demanding priority in the vaccination drive. We cannot administer the vaccine to everyone at once. We have to consider the priority list," he stated. He reassured the public that everyone would be vaccinated according to the list. "If you are someone who needs the vaccine, we will definitely administer it to you," he said. He further urged the public not to create tension or disturbances at the vaccination centers as it would hinder the process. He requested the public to cooperate with the health services and assist them in the vaccination process.
