The Doctor who broke into the Accounts Division of the National Hospital in Colombo (NHC) and attempted to steal over Rs. 79 lakhs, has been remanded until 24th June 2020.
The Police said the medical officer at around 1.10 p.m. on Tuesday (9) had attempted to steal the at the Bandaranaike Building of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka while pointing a fake gun.
During interrogations, it was revealed that the suspect, C.N. Harendra Kumara, is a resident of Colombo and a trained medical officer at the National Hospital; it has also been revealed that his wife is a nurse as well.
The Police Media Division added that further investigations are being carried out by the Maradana Police Station.
