Doval calls on President, expresses willingness to invest in new areas to develop economy

India's National Security Adviser Ajith Doval called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this evening and expressed India's willingness to identify and invest in new areas that will contribute to the economic development of Sri Lanka. Mr. Doval arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday to attend the Fourth Meeting of National Security Advisers on Trilateral Maritime Security Cooperation with India Sri Lanka and Maldives. The President Media Division (PMD) said President Rajapaksa and Mr. Doval engaged in an extremely productive discussion aimed at further enhancing bilateral relations of all aspects. They have discussed the Indo-Lanka Defence Cooperation, maintaining peace and Security in the Indian Ocean Region and infrastructure development in Sri Lanka. The two sides have agreed that the infrastructure development projects initiated with the participation of India should be completed without delay, the PMD said.
