Dr. Padma Gunaratne was inducted as the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) President for this year (2021) on 23 January.
The SLMA’s main objectives are the promotion of the advancement of medical and allied sciences, to propagate information and diffuse knowledge among members, to safeguard and maintain the honour and interests of the medical profession and the society, and to consider matters pertaining to medicine in all its aspects and to promote the interests, welfare, rights and privileges of its members.
