A meeting of SLFP members has been scheduled tomorrow (5) to discuss the President’s decision to revoke the law barring dual citizens from entering Parliament as stated in the 20th Amendment released yesterday (3), Prof. Rohana Luxman Piyadasa told the Morning.
“My personal view is that dual citizenship is dual representation and that eradicates the feeling of patriotism towards one’s home country. It should be noted that developed countries have also imposed this law to guarantee the best service from politicians to their country,” he commented.
