As exclusively reported by The Morning a few hours ago, former parliamentarian Duminda Silva was released from prison following a Presidential pardon.
Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake confirmed this to The Morning today (24).
Prior to this, legal sources informed The Morning that the necessary arrangements for his release have been completed.
