Motor traffic data analyzed since January 1, 2021 had shown that motorbike riders, pillion riders and three-wheeler drivers are most prone to fatal accidents, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said eight fatal accidents were reported yesterday and added the police have launched a massive operation to nab errant drivers who drive under the influence and in a reckless manner.
