The Election Commission (EC) will take a decision on extension of polling time this week.
EC Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya said the decision will be taken at a meeting held on 25th June.
Deshapriya previously raised concerns over polling time due to strict coronavirus guidelines that will be imposed during voting.
The General elections are set to be held on the 5th of August.
