Sri Lanka’s key spin bowler Lasith Embuldeniya will be out of action for eight weeks, national team’s sources in Antigua revealed to Sunday Morning Sports yesterday (3). Embuldeniya injured his left thigh while fielding on the 4th day of the 2nd cricket Test against West Indies in Antigua on Thursday (1) and had to be stretchered off the ground. Now he is going to miss two-match home Test series against Bangladesh, starting on 21 April at Pallekele. The vacant spinner’s spot for the series will most likely be taken by Wanindu Hasaranga, who also can bat effectively down the order.
