Navy Media Spokesman Captain Indika Silva stated that a fire has been reported in the engine of the container ship MSC MESSINA which was sailing from the Port of Colombo to Singapore.
The Navy spokesman told The Morning that a fire had broken out in the waters 480 nautical miles east of Maha Ravana this morning.
