Sources told The Sunday Morning that the former President is boycotting all gatherings including today's Independence Day celebrations due to issues with regard to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) alliance.
The SLFP-SLPP alliance was formed to face the upcoming parliamentary elections in April. (MM)
