Former State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) Chairman Rumy Mohamed, was arrested a short-while ago over the ‘white van’ press conference held last month.
Mohamed had surrendered to the CID before the arrest was made.
When former Minister Rajitha Senaratne's case was taken up yesterday(30), the Deputy Solicitor General Dilipa Pieris had requested court to issue an arrest warrant on former SPC Chairman for allegedly paying Rs. 2 million to the two participants of the 'white van' press briefing.
The court also issued a travel ban on Mohamed following a request from the Deputy Solicitor General.
