In addition to the six explosions which were reported this morning (21), another explosion has occurred in the suburbs of Dehiwela.
The incident was reported near the Dehiwela Zoological Gardens at a guest house located in the vicinity.
Several individuals who sustained injuries were rushed to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital and have now been transferred to the Kalubowila National Hospital.
The Hospital has confirmed that two persons, a man and a woman have succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to the Teaching Hospital which increases the death toll to more than 185 persons.
The Acting General of the Dehiwela Zoological Gardens has issued a statement confirming that the decision has been taken to temporarily shut down the Dehiwela Zoo till further notice.
