Final farewells for Lankan Permanent Rep to UN

Dr Rohan Perera who is Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the UN paid a final farewell call on the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as his term comes to a close.

The Ambassador thanked the Secretary-General for the co-operation and support extended by the UN to the country and wished for the relationship between the nation and the organization to be strengthened over time.

Dr. Perera expressed hope that Guterres would visit the country in the near future in his capacity as the UN Secretary General in a press release.

Dr Amrith Rohan Perera presented his credentials to the then United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in April of 2015.
